Host Charlie Flock demonstrates how to use SQL Server to perform complex data anlaysis on large data sets inside the database without having to move data across the network. Live examples will be shown such as:
- using XIRR to quickly calculate returns on cashflows in multiple dimensions - by account, manager, fund, etc.
- predicting home pricing using Multiple Linear Regression
- forecasting budgets against millions of rows of historical data using the FORECAST function
- calculating beta on every stock in the S&P 500
The demonstrations include functions from XLeratorDB products such XLeratorDB/financial, XLeratorDB/statistics, XLeratorDB/math and XLeratorDB/strings. All of these packages are available individually or grouped together in the XLeratorDB Suite package.
